Business Central has a feature where you can schedule a report to run at a certain time and have the result end up in your Report Inbox on your role centre.

This is useful if a report takes a long while to run as perhaps you have millions of transactions, so using a schedule means the system can run the report in the background whilst you do something else.

Also useful if you start your day with a report, so let the scheduler run it overnight and it’s there waiting for you, or perhaps it’s a report that is time sensitive and hard to recreate retrospectively, such as open orders.
