Summary
You now have the ability when sharing a link from OneDrive or SharePoint to block the recipient from downloading the file, the recipient can view the file online.
It is not just the ability to block a download but also the recipient cannot make copies of the file, copy text into other applications or print.
What does this mean for me?
You will automatically receive this update in Office 365 so that when you next select Copy Link you will see an additional option to Block Download.
The recipient will see a message in the online banner bar when they open the link
