Summary
Microsoft will be are updating the feature that lets users create sharing links which block download for Office files.
First, it will expand support for "specific people" links.
Second, it will allow users to create "block download" links from File Explorer, Office apps, and the rest of the apps which use the common Office 365 file sharing experience.
What does this mean for me?
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this change.
It will be gradually rolling this out to organizations over the course of this week, and the roll out will be completed worldwide by mid-May 2019.
