Summary

One Drive – Sync Shared Folders

New feature to add a folder to your syncing One Drive folder list that has been shared with you from someone else via One Drive, meaning that you can then take those files offline.

How do I do this?

For example, Jane shares a folder from her one Drive called “Business Central” with Alice, previously that folder would appear in the shared area of OneDrive and that’s it.

But as you can see from the below you can now select the folder and use “Add Shortcut to my files”

The folder will then appear in Alice’s OneDrive Files online

As Alice’s OneDrive is set to synchronise to her machine then she will also see the file on her machine in File Explorer where she can take the files offline if she wishes

How do I get this?

This feature will appear in an update of your Office 365
