CRM - Search has changed and is not returning the right results

CRM search results have changed, now only searches records in the view you are in.

CRM search results have changed, now only searches records in the view you are in.

Microsoft have made a change to CRM behind the scenes so that when you use the search, instead of it searching through the records based on the quick find search view, it only searches the view you are in.

If you look at the search box it will now say “Search this View”

Can I get it back to the way it was?

If you don’t like this new functionality then presently there is a way to change it back to the way it was.

System Admins can go to Advanced Settings – Administration – System Settings

On the general tab set the “use quick find for searching” to Yes

OK to save

When you refresh CRM, you search should now say “Quick Find”
