D365 Marketing - Date Based Segment Filters

Dynamics 365 Marketing – using date-based segments

Summary

Dynamics 365 Marketing – using date-based segments

How do I do this?

There is a function in building a segment based on a date filter that you could miss if you didn’t know it was there

Ordinarily you would be looking at the middle filter as below

But a filter further on there is an icon where you can change the functionality

Absolute Date means you will input the full date as above

Partial date means you will be inputting elements of the date as Any Day, Any Month, Any Year – so the settings as shown below would get anyone whose birthday was 29th February.  There is no year choice so this would work every year.

Relative date adds a lot more options as shown below

This allows a date filter that is however many days/months/years ago/from now

A combination of these could then get everyone who has a birthday on 29th February but was born more than 18 years ago – as below
