Reminder of some of the upcoming deprecations in Dynamics 365 CRM

Summary

Reminder of some of the upcoming deprecations in Dynamics 365 CRM. 

Definition of Deprecation:

"Deprecated" means Microsoft intends to remove the feature or capability from a future major release. (think the October/April updates). The feature or capability will continue to work and is fully supported until it is officially removed. This deprecation notification can span a few years. After removal, the feature or capability will no longer work.

Classic Interface

October 2020 sees the end of the classic web interface for CRM this will be replaced by the Unified Interface that works across web and mobile devices.

Full “Classic” Outlook Client

The replacement for this is the think outlook app that can also be utilised for the web version of Outlook.

Voice of the Customer

This has been deprecated for a while and it was originally replaced by Microsoft Forms Pro but this has also now been replaced with Customer Voice.

Others

Other functions worth a mention are Contracts, Standard SLAs, Relationship roles, Announcements and Mail merge
